DELIVERY SERVICES / MEDICAL DELIVERY
BEHIND EVERY
DELIVERY.
SOMEONE WAITING.
A pharmacy preparing an order. A care team waiting on supplies. A laboratory coordinating its next pickup. WCC helps you plan the delivery that connects the next step.

01 / WHO WE SUPPORT
YOUR TEAM HAS
PEOPLE TO CARE FOR.
Delivery coordination should fit the work your team is already doing. Start with your locations, schedule, and shipment details so we can discuss a practical plan.
01
PHARMACY &
CARE FACILITIES
Discuss deliveries between pharmacies, long-term care facilities, behavioral health providers, and other authorized receiving locations. Share order readiness, receiving hours, and handoff instructions.
02
LABORATORIES &
LIFE SCIENCES
Tell us about your laboratory or life-sciences route, including any specimen, packaging, temperature, and timing requirements. Specialized shipments require review and acceptance before scheduling.
03
MEDICAL SUPPLIES
& EQUIPMENT
Packaged supplies, consumables, and suitable equipment moving between healthcare suppliers, offices, and care locations. We’ll review dimensions, weight, access, and handling needs.
02 / DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
PREPARED BEFORE
THE FIRST PICKUP.
Medical delivery requires preparation beyond a standard pickup. The following are WCC’s requirements before a driver may receive a medical assignment; they are not a statement that every driver in our network has already completed this training.
01
HIPAA PRIVACY & SECURITY
Before medical assignments, drivers must complete HIPAA privacy and security awareness training, review WCC’s confidentiality procedures, and acknowledge their responsibilities for protecting patient information. WCC requires an annual refresher and additional instruction when procedures change.
02
SECURE HANDLING & HANDOFFS
Drivers must complete instruction in protecting sealed shipments, checking package condition, verifying the authorized recipient, and recording the agreed pickup and delivery details. Drivers must know how to report a missing package, misdelivery, unauthorized disclosure, or damaged shipment promptly.
03
BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
Where assigned duties involve potential exposure, drivers must complete applicable bloodborne-pathogen training before assignment, with annual refreshers. Instruction must address exposure prevention, appropriate PPE, and the exposure-response procedures for their work.
04
SHIPMENT-SPECIFIC PREPARATION
Temperature-sensitive, specimen, and other specialized deliveries require review of the shipment’s requirements. Drivers must complete applicable handling and hazardous-materials training and be prepared to use the required equipment and documentation before accepting those assignments.
05
DOCUMENTATION & ASSIGNMENT REVIEW
Drivers must provide training-completion records and acknowledge the procedures relevant to their work. Medical assignments require review of those records, customer instructions, and any additional qualifications needed for the shipment. These requirements also apply to carrier-partner drivers assigned to medical deliveries.
03 / DELIVERY OPTIONS
A REGULAR ROUTE.
A CHANGING DAY.
SCHEDULED PICKUPS
Plan recurring stops around order preparation, collection windows, and receiving hours. Share your expected volume and the days you need service.
SAME-DAY REQUESTS
When a delivery cannot wait for the next routine run, call with the pickup, destination, and deadline. We’ll confirm whether the route and shipment can be accommodated.
A CLEAR HANDOFF
Agree on the pickup contact, authorized recipient, access instructions, and delivery-confirmation needs before the shipment moves.
04 / HOW IT WORKS
THE DETAILS MATTER.
LET’S START THERE.
01
DESCRIBE THE DELIVERY.
Provide the shipment category, piece count, pickup and destination, and desired timing. For an initial quote, use general shipment details rather than patient names, records, or prescription information.
02
REVIEW THE REQUIREMENTS.
Tell us about packaging, temperature needs, recipient authorization, and any required documentation or chain-of-custody process. We’ll confirm whether we can meet the requirements before accepting the work.
03
CONFIRM THE ROUTE.
Once the service details and pricing are agreed, have the shipment ready and the pickup and receiving contacts available. Confirm access and handoff instructions for each stop.

06 / COMMON QUESTIONS
LET’S GET
THE DETAILS RIGHT.
What types of medical deliveries can I ask about?
Contact us about pharmacy routes, care-facility deliveries, laboratory and life-sciences requests, medical supplies, and suitable equipment. Acceptance depends on the shipment and the requirements we can meet.
Can you transport specimens or temperature-sensitive items?
These requests need a separate review. Share the shipment classification, packaging, temperature range, maximum transit time, and documentation needs. Do not book or tender a specialized shipment until WCC has confirmed acceptance and the required arrangements.
Can you handle prescriptions or controlled medications?
Tell us the delivery category and the sending and receiving organizations without including patient details in the quote form. Prescription and controlled-medication requests require specific review; acceptance is not automatic.
Can we arrange a recurring pharmacy or facility route?
Yes—send your locations, pickup windows, delivery windows, frequency, and approximate volume so we can discuss a recurring schedule and confirm availability.
Do you provide delivery confirmation or chain-of-custody records?
Tell us what your organization requires, including signatures, timestamps, or specific forms. The confirmation process and any chain-of-custody requirements must be agreed before booking.
What information should I include in the quote form?
Include business contact details, locations, general shipment type, schedule, and handling needs. Please do not submit patient names, medical records, prescription details, or other sensitive health information through the general quote form.
Can you deliver medical equipment to a facility?
We can review suitable packaged equipment based on size, weight, value, and access. Mention loading assistance, stairs, or placement needs. Standard delivery does not include installation, clinical setup, or patient instruction.
Is this a patient transportation service?
No. This page covers delivery of goods and materials. It does not offer ambulance service, patient transportation, or emergency medical response.
